The primary role is to make disciples by training, deepen fellowship among church members, and direct ministry by commission. It is not possible for one person to shepherd a large number of sheep. There has to be some delegation of authority. Spreading out roles and responsibilities reduces the burden on the rest of the leadership. Qualifications Required

The Bishop must possess the qualities as mentioned in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9 of the Holy Bible.

He must be blameless, vigilant, just, hospitable, patient, sober and of good behavior.
He must be self-controlled, must love to do what is good, must be disciplined and upright.
He must be the husband of only one wife and must be apt to teach.
He must not be-self willed, must not be a drunkard, must not be greedy for money, must not be a brawler and must not be covetous.
He must be able to handle his own family well.
He must not be a novice and should have the spiritual maturity to handle the responsibility, or else he may be filled with pride and fall into the condemnation of the devil.
He must be a man who holds firmly to the truth taught to him, so that he can encourage people with the truth as well as confute those who oppose it.

Executive

Vision Implementation

Assist in implementing the vision of ICOF. Under the direction of the leadership team, he/she is to co-ordinate and organize, in line with the established goals.

Overseeing Daily Activities
Lead all the day-to-day activities of the ministry.

Administrative Activities
Under the senior Bishop guidance, and in consultation with appropriate committees and staff, prepare the jurisdiction budget and manage it. He must direct the hiring of volunteer staff, and is also responsible for formalities involved on dismissal or repositioning of staff members. Develop policies in accordance to the vision.

Disciplining and Nurturing
The Bishop’s duty also includes coaching individuals and developing disciples of Jesus Christ. He is to recruit, train and motivate them, so that the ministry sends leaders into the world to carry forward the message of Christ. He should promote the evangelistic purpose of small groups. He must help and support the leaders, and should handle personal conflicts and ministry challenges.

Facilitate Short-term Ministry Projects
Recruit and manage teams of people for short-term ministry projects. Besides managing human resources, he has to also gather the required financial resources and other necessary resources to fulfill the ministry project. He is to oversee the entire ministry program and monitor the progress of the program.

Meet the leadership team on a monthly basis and update them about all the financial, personal and administrative matters of the jurisdiction he serves. He is accountable to the President. Above all, he must be a man set out to serve God. He must be trustworthy, diligent and responsible. God does not call the equipped, but equips the called!

Grant Writer

Responsible for writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
Work with finance to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs.
Comply with all grants reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
Provide stewardship to current donors, including work with Grants & Research Manager to provide regular written updates (newsletters etc) to corporate and foundation donors.
Understanding of institutional history and programs.
Make appointments for VP Development and Grants and Research Manager with foundation officers and other prospects, arrange for onsite tours for supporters (foundation officers, foundation trustees).
Maintain current records in database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.
Track statistics relevant to development and provide department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship (visitor number and diversity, educational program attendance, etc).
Work with Grants & Research Manager to provide development input for all written institutional materials (including Annual Report, Member magazine).
Assist with other fundraising projects as requested

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
Strong editing skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of fundraising information sources.
Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies.
Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
Strong contributor in team environments

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years experience with grant writing.
Previous experience with non-profit fundraising.
Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Able to monitor and meet income goals.

Development Director

Position

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as I Support continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function.

Responsibilities

· Develop and execute I Support USA Nonprofit's annual fundraising plan

· Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations

· Manage the implementation and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing

· Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors

· Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors

· Overseeing organization of special events

· Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising

Qualifications

· BA (required), MA (a plus)

· 5-plus years experience in development

· Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills

· Knowledge of Raiser's Edge

· Report to the Executive Director
